The AMG Manager – Shift Production is responsible for overseeing the diecasting production process during their assigned shift. This role ensures that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and with high-quality standards. The AMG Manager will lead a team of production operators and coordinate with other shift managers to maintain seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shift Management: Oversee the diecasting production process during the assigned shift, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of production operators. Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards. Implement and monitor quality control procedures and address any deviations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and conducting regular safety audits.
- Resource Management: Manage resources effectively during the shift, including raw materials, equipment, and labor. Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on shift performance, including key metrics such as output, efficiency, and quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other shift managers and departments, including maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure smooth production operations.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the shift, including equipment malfunctions and personnel challenges.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s technician or higher technician Diploma, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the diecasting or automotive parts industry.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in production planning and quality control.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of diecasting processes, lean manufacturing principles, and safety regulations.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
