The Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing and improving the diecasting production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity. This role involves working closely with the production team to implement process improvements and innovative solutions while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis: Evaluate current diecasting production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure all products meet the required specifications.
  • Resource Optimization: Optimize the use of resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to address and resolve operational issues.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on engineering activities, including key metrics such as efficiency, quality, and cost savings.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and improvement initiatives.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations and conducting regular safety audits.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial engineering role within the diecasting or automotive parts industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and excellent project management abilities.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of diecasting processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
